SHORT-TERM BORROWINGS AND LONG-TERM DEBT | SHORT-TERM BORROWINGS AND LONG-TERM DEBT Euro Commercial Paper Program
During the three months ended September 2023, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ commenced a euro commercial paper program, which in addition to the existing U.S. commercial paper program, is supported by ±«ÓãÖ±²¥'s $2.25Ìýbillion Global Credit Facility. Commercial paper borrowings under this new program were €218.0Ìýmillion ($230.6Ìýmillion) as of September 2023 and had a weighted average interest rate of 4.09%. The Company has designated the euro commercial paper borrowings as a net investment hedge of ±«ÓãÖ±²¥'s investment in certain foreign operations. Refer to Note 17 for additional information. There were also $778.0Ìýmillion and $1.7Ìýbillion in U.S. commercial paper borrowings as of September 2023 and September 2022, respectively.
Senior Notes Maturity
On September 18, 2023, ±«ÓãÖ±²¥ repaid €850.0Ìýmillion ($907.1Ìýmillion) in aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 0.625% Senior Notes due in September 2023, in accordance with the terms of the notes.
